Sunset Reflection in Farmhouse Window

sunset reflection uzes

One of our favorites things to do when in Uzes…is to take a simple, evening stroll through a village. It doesn’t matter which one, they’re all special in their own way.

The things we’ve seen!  At sunset, near Mas de l’Ancienne Eglise, we saw a red deer tentatively exit the garrigue and step out into a farmer’s field. There are ancient stone walls that delineate farmer’s fields to the north of St. Quentin la Potterie. There, it’s peaceful and the wind gently stirs the trees.

And it’s not as if you’ve “seen it” once you’ve visited any particular village. Come at a different time and you’ll see things you missed before. That’s the amazing thing about this area; it’s rich with detail.

One evening, we had finished a stroll through a nondescript village in the direction of Montaren, when we noticed the bright-colored reflection of a neighboring home in the window of a house that was already in shadow.

Minutes later, it was gone.
